Managed Installation Managed Devices

Permanent installation with a Windows service for unattended access. The deployment script installs the official client and applies our server settings.

Pre-Configured Settings

The deployment script and the MSI apply these settings. The plain client download is the stock RustDesk application and connects nowhere until configured.

What Gets Installed

The deployment script configures the following:

RustDesk in C:\Program Files\RustDesk
Windows service for unattended access (auto-start)
Server settings written for the service and every user profile
A permanent password, only when one is supplied per machine
A registry marker recording hostname, version and RustDesk ID
